VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA (PRWEB)
Plurilock CEO Ian Paterson has been named a top founder by Metabridge, an exclusive Canadian association of entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and other key leaders in Canada’s technology community.
The honor, announced Wednesday in advance of Metabridge’s annual Canadian Technology Retreat, confirms Plurilock’s position as a key innovator at the center of British Columbia’s burgeoning scale-up community.
As an advanced cybersecurity company with a bevy of large enterprise and US government clients, Plurilock has gained momentum in recent months by making its technology available for the first time to companies in the financial services, human resources, education, healthcare, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) sectors.
“As our technology matures, we’ve been able to move beyond very large, uniform organizations,” says Paterson “and to begin to sell to the cloud software market, which is both exploding and desperately in need of technology like ours.”
In particular, Paterson says that this year’s release of Plurilock ADAPT, which uses behavioral biometrics and contextual data to authenticate users, enables SaaS companies to add secure multi-factor authentication (MFA) to their platforms without the need for mobile phones, fingerprint scanners, security tokens, or other similar login hurdles, which can incur significant cost and complexity penalties.
Metabridge’s status as an authoritative nonprofit and thought leader in the Canadian technology space is likely to make the award particularly resonant for Plurilock’s growing team, which now stretches beyond its Victoria headquarters to include Belgium, Brazil, Taiwan, Morocco, and Russia.
“We have an amazing, dedicated group of world-class developers, PhDs, scientists, and professionals,” says Paterson, “and Metabridge is validating the hard work that they’re doing in pursuit of a new, better cybersecurity paradigm for the industry.”
Paterson addressed an audience of Canadian Technology Retreat attendees on Thursday to thank Metabridge for the award.
