Plurilock Releases New Version of ADAPT MFA Product with Broad Standards, SSO Support

Latest update from leading behavioral biometrics firm adds new optimizations and compatibility with SAML and OpenID Connect

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA—Plurilock Security Solutions, Inc., leading provider of device-free and frictionless authentication solutions, this week announced the Summer 2020 release of its innovative MFA product, Plurilock ADAPT.

Plurilock ADAPT enables organizations to achieve secure multi-factor authentication (MFA) at login prompts without the need for one-time password (OTP) codes, hardware authenticators, mobile phones, or other user-hostile MFA steps.

The Summer 2020 release of ADAPT makes broad compatibility with corporate and enterprise systems generally available as a standard feature. In addition to support for Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and API-driven integrations, ADAPT now also boasts direct support for Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and OpenID Connect, two increasingly popular frameworks for the deployment of standards-based authentication.

Out-of-box deployment via SAML and OpenID Connect will enable Plurilock ADAPT to provide strong MFA without custom integration work in the vast majority of environments, including those relying on single sign-on (SSO) and identity federation technologies. The company notes that the list of SSO providers currently offering simple web-based instructions for SAML or OpenID configuration includes well-known providers Okta, Duo, OneLogin, and Ping Identity.

“ADAPT has been our fastest-growing product since its launch in 2019,” says Ian L. Paterson, CEO of Plurilock. “What we’ve heard from clients is that they love ADAPT and want to be able to integrate it more quickly and broadly across their ecosystems. So we got to work and added that capability. ADAPT is now easily deployable across most industry-standard security stacks.”

Paterson says that ADAPT’s core technology has seen further optimization with the release, but that it continues to leverage Plurilock’s deep expertise in machine learning. This technology enables ADAPT to recognize users based on patterns in their keyboard, mouse, location, and network behavior that can be analyzed by computers, yet are imperceptible to humans.

The Summer 2020 release of Plurilock ADAPT began shipping to clients in June 2020, and is also now available through Plurilock’s extensive network of channel partners and resellers.
