Electronic Protected Health Information, or ePHI, includes data gathered, manipulated, stored, or transmitted during the provision of healthcare, medical, or related services.

ePHI is a blanket term that is used to include electronic health records (EHR), electronic medical records (EMR), and other similar forms of electronic healthcare data.
