FIPS Publication 200
The FIPS Publication 200 standard addresses the specification of minimum security requirements for US federal information under the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
The act assigns various federal agencies to establish standards for the security of information and information systems in US federal government, with the objective of providing appropriate levels of information security for a range of likely risk levels.
